Iata fotografiile!

PS: Cinstit vorbind, fotografiile nu surprind in totalitate frumusetea impresionanta a peisajului.

Tinutele pe care le-am purtat in Tenerife si imprejurimi le voi descrie in articole urmatoare! #StayTuned

#1. Teide National Park a fost declarat parc national in anul 1954.

FYI aici s-a turnat filmul celebru “Planeta Maimutelor”.

Teide a fost consemnat in anul 2007 in Patrimoniul Omenirii al UNESCO.

In unele parti, s-au format bazine in ocean unde turistii stau la plaja si se scalda in apa oceanului.

I never thought about travelling Tenerife but I did it anyway! I took my friend’s Monica advice, due to her current job – Ryanair Stewardess – she traveled all over the Europe. Island of Tenerife it is! And I never regretted it!

Canary Islands (Islas Canarias) are an archipelago with 7 islands of volcanic origin in The Atlantic Ocean, relatively close to the NW Coast of Africa. The islands  belong to Spain. The Island of Tenerife is one of the 7 islands and it’s a major resort of Spain, with over 5 millions tourists annually.

The Island of Tenerife is the biggest island of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. So, you ca imagine how wonderful the ocean must be. Tenerife is a volcanic island and it became such thing 20 – 50 million years ago. It became an island because of the submarine volcanic eruptions, because of the African tectonic plate movement. Tenerife is famous in the world because of the name “The island of the eternal spring” (Isla de la Eterna Primavera). I was really impressed with the fact that it was a big difference between the northern and the southern part of the island regarding the temperature, the flora and the fauna. One has an arid climate and the other a humid climate.

Besides the relaxing moments by the pool of The Apartamentos Caribe, the long walks and the sunbathing, eating paella, drinking Sangria + the exotic fruits, we visited pretty much everything we could afford. So, during those 7 days of journey, we visited the Teide Volcano, the village MASCA, Santiago del Teide, Garachico, Icod de Vinos, Portul Santa Cruz, Costa Adeje. Here are the photos!

PS: To be honest, the photos are not that relevant because they could’n catch the true beauty of the landscape!

I will tell you about all my outfits from The Island of Tenerife in the next posts! #StayTuned

#1. Teide National Park was declared a national park in 1954. The route itself was very impressive because it was winding through the fields of lava. The driver couldn’t understand English, but he could hear lots of onomatopoeia from the tourists, because the panic was at the maximum limit through those serpentines. Every time the bus took a curve, the only thing you could see was the abyss from side to side. The good thing was the emergency lane with the the gutters from time to time, because, in any other way, it was simply impossible for 2 buses to walk side by side. The landscape was #SimplyAmazing especially because, when we were climbing, we could notice that we were above the ocean and the clouds. Believe me I am not exaggerating when I say this!

#2. The Teide Volcano (El Teide) is the highest volcanic cone from Spain (3.718 m above the sea level and aprox. 7.000 m above the bottom of the ocean), being impressive with those beautiful landscapes. Here are preserved some native species such as the drago tree (Dracaena draco) and the laurel forests Laurisilva. This volcano throws the biggest shadow existent on Earth. You can see it from over 30–40 km away. FYI “The Planet of the Apes” was filmed here.Calatorii-travel-followmeto-Tenerife-Costa-Adeje-Insulele-Canare-Oceanul-Atlantic-MASCA-blog-moda-Bacau-Adriana-VieriuCalatorii-travel-followmeto-Tenerife-Costa-Adeje-Insulele-Canare-Oceanul-Atlantic-MASCA-blog-moda-Bacau-Adriana-Vieriu

Teide was recorded in 2007 in UNESCO The Patrimony of Mankind. Measured at its base, is the third volcano on Earth regarding the height and the lenght, right after the volcanos Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea, both on the Island of Hawaii.

#3. The Masca Village, once a retreat for the pirates, it’s situated at 600 m altitude, in the NW of the Island of Tenerife, territorial belonging to the city Buenavista del Norte. From Santiago del Teide, near the church from the center of the city, it starts a tight road that winds through some impossible serpentines.

#4. The MASCA Valley winds through the high slopes of 800 – 1000 m. There are lots of eagles, the air is hot and stuffy and the ocean breeze doesn’t even get up here.

#5. Icod de Vinos City is famous because of the millenary dragon tree (Dracanea draco), the oldest tree from the island.

IMG_8018

#6. Garachico is a city situated in the northern part of the island. In some places, there are tanks in the ocean where tourists spend time by the beach and bathe in the ocean. In 1706, a major event happened: the volcano erupted and the city was destroyed by the pirates. Garachico was a significant wine and other local products importer.

#6. Santiago del Teide City has the biggest European exhibition of pearls. I visited it pretty fast, but the landscape was amazing and I will remember it forever.

The endemice plants – Echium wildpretii (specific to The land of Tenerife) can reach up to 3 meters high.
